Good afternoon:

I have an M&P 40c, along with a Storm Lake 9mm conversion barrel that I am quite happy with. Locally, there is a ported Performance Center .40 S&W pistol for sale at a decent price. I know little about the Shield, but isn't it essentially a single stack, compact version of the M&P? Would the 9mm conversion barrel for my M&P work in the Shield?

Your advice is greatly appreciated.

Nope your 9c barrel won't work on the shield, they are different.
