Like a few others here, I had (when the pistol was new) an intermittent nose-diving of rounds from the mag which resulted in a FTF.
I had said in another post that when the pistol was NIB and I disassembled it, it had the heaviest coating of "grease/dirt" I had seen ever on a NIB pistol. I had cleaned it well, I thought, before and after the first 2 range trips. I am a "clean and lube after every range trip" guy.
On each of the first two trips I had one, two, three or more FTF because of nose-diving of rounds per 100 rounds. After each trip I cleaned more and more and noticed how tight the mags were front to back (length of cartridge).
Along the way, I adopted the suggested rapping of the back of the loaded mag on my palm to fully seat all the rounds. I still had the occasional FTF.
On my last trip with my son to our local range, I fed the pistol 150 rounds of various factory 230gr FMJ and well as 25 Federal HST which I plan to carry. All went perfectly, with no FTF.
Whether it's the scrubbing/lubing between range trips, break in (which I hate to hear) or the mag tapping, I don't care. It is now perfect and will now be my EDC.
