I know this was made for the Glock 19, but I thought I read somewhere it may fit the M&P9. Looking for a weapon light for my Gen 1 M&P9 4.25 inch barrel.



Or was possibly looking at the new gen 3 APL

Anyone with info on any of these lights would be greatly appreciated

They have an universal version for non glock pistols, the tabs under the mounting rail are different. I have Streamlight TRL-1HL on my full size 9 and I love it.

I am in the same situation, except for an M2.0. Not sure about you, but I don't like my light to extend past the front of the barrel. All I can find are the Viridian XTL, Inforce APL C, TLR3 and Surefire XC1. I have watched videos and am not a fan of the XC1's light output, so it is out. The Viridian states 300+lumens, but I am concerned about durability. The APL C lists 200, but compared to the 200 of the XC1 is quite a bit brighter. I might consider the gen 3 APL with 400 lumens, if it doesn't extend too far past the barrel.

Any other suggestions? Does anyone have pics of the APL gen 3 on an M2.0?

I have the Inforce APL Gen 3 on my Fullsized M&P9. I love it. The paddle switch has been roughed up so there is no chance of slipping when you depress it plus that thing is handheld sunlight. It fits well on the pistol however options for light carrying holsters are limited when searching online. If you don't have a decent Kydex guy near you I can recommend Huckleberry tactical. Bill Hux did an outstanding job on mine. Below is a link of the Inforce APL on a fullsized M&P.

Thanks ACOG'd Derringer. I ordered the gen 3 APL from Amazon. It should be here on Monday. It is a duty weapon, so I have a Safariland 7365-2222-411 on order. Hopefully I will get it in a couple of weeks.
