I have owned my shield for a couple of months and cleaned it several times without incident. Last night I went to disassemble it and the slide stuck. I got the slid off but I notice the piece of metal just over the slide release is sticking up which is why the slide stuck I presume. Any ideas??

Maybe this is the spring sticking up?
This spring has been know to pop up at the top, here it is showing out of the channel at the bottom, it should be flush in the housing.

How do I fix it???

Look for some YouTube vids on dis-assembly and it will cover the spring.

I'll give it a try!!
