Optimum bullet weight for Apex 9mm barrel?
OK. Installed the Apex barrel in my 5" Pro.
Everything I read says perfect for 115 to 147 grain.
Anyone have real experience showing a weight preference?
Cannot believe that everything is perfect.

For any given bullet weight you can expect any barrel to shoot more accurately with some brands of bullets or factory ammo than with others. But it would be unusual for a barrel to shoot ALL versions of one bullet weight better than ANY version of another weight.
So pick the bullet weight you want to shoot, and test around to find a brand or a load in that weight which shoots as well as you can. Unless you're really good, you should find lots of loads that work for you.

Myself and my pistol seem to favor a 124 grain truncated cone .
Buy a box of each weight and shoot them on targets , keep notes and you will soon see which weight is the most accurate and how the gun recoils in your hand. I write down this info on each target while shooting. Bring the targets home , sit down and review them....a favorite will emerge.

Because this is not a bulls eye pistol, it will perform well with all those weights. For the ultimate in accuracy, you'll have to do your own experimentation.
No two barrels will perform the same. Even two that came off the same production line will work differently.
Just go get some different boxes and spend some time at the range with a rest. Figure out the best one and stick with that.

I agree.
Every gun is a rule unto itself. The smallest of differences in tolerances can make a big difference on the target.
The Lady 1.0 M&P is very accurate with Winchester 115 gr. Silvertips using the factory barrel. She has only had the gun for a short period of time so other bullets may also prove to be accurate. Until then the gun is loaded with Silvertips for self-defense.
