Default I May Have Crossed Over

I have always been a huge fan of the 1911. I carried one in Viet Nam, and my proficiency with it explains why I'm still here today. Since leaving the service, I have owned a number of 1911s; four are currently present in my safe.

Old eyes and difficulty seeing the front sight at speed made me purchase a 9mm C.O.R.E. I replaced the stock trigger and sear with Apex parts, added a Trijicon RMR, a Carver Custom magwell, and several Taylor Freelance magazines extensions. All of a sudden, my 1911s are safe queens.

Is there any hope?

My Dad, an NRA rated Master shooter in bullseye in his younger days, owns and shoots a C.O.R.E. with an MRDS. He out shoots me all the time.

There is no "other" side. We are gun enthusiasts. We like to shoot. We age and that changes how we shoot. Whatever you do to make it so you can continue, safely, is a good thing.
