Just ordered one. The deal was too good to pass up. Now for a holster.

Don't worry they usually have something for Christmas. The next M&P that I want is the compact 2.0 fde after it has been out for a little bit to work out any bugs.

I bought a Shield 45 and it is in shipping right now. My costs are $319.99 for the pistol, $9.99 for shipping, $10 for dealer transfer then minus $75 for the rebate. This all comes to a total in hand price of $339.98 before the rebate and $264.98 after the rebate.

There is no compact 2.0 coming out. They had some long explenation as to why, but it's only going to be in full size configurations.

S&W actually extended the rebate program out to 9/30/17, see picture. So prices shouldn't go up much if any, and may even go down a bit.

Nice find. I've been telling myself no reason to add a .40 or .45 to the 9mm that I picked up. Only had a few days to go to say I won't be adding another one and now a 90 day extension. Maybe spending less time in this section of the forum will help.

Got a 45 last week and ordered 2 9s and another 45 yesterday.

according to S&W website, the 50 and 75 dollar rebates end 6/30.
and there is no mention of the other rebate shown in this picture.

I've so far been able to keep my money in my pocket, just have to make it 2 more days. I have been successful in resisting the temptation of a Shield .45 to add to my 9.

look at it closely, the other one starts in 4 days and runs another 3 months, but includes the FULL SIZE M&P and the compact instead of the bodyguard and SDVE... it's theoretically possible that it's a new one that overlaps when the other ends. I guess we'll know by the 1st

If the new $75 rebate is for real a person might consider that it doesn't say any M&P but "any QUALIFYING M&P".
Also, is there any assurance that they will be so deeply discounted as they have been?
$75 off a high price in August may not be nearly as enticing as $75 off a deeply discounted price in June.
