Default Talon Grips

I bought Talon Grips for my new PC 9mm Shield a couple of weeks ago and was very satisfied with them so I just went to their website TALON Grips for Glock, XD, XDM, Kahr, Ruger and Kel-Tec Pistols. Free Shipping! to order a set for my Beretta PX4 Compact and when checking out realized the regularly $17.99 grips were only $13.99, evidently they are having a $4 off on the 4th sale, in case anyone is interested.

Great company, just on the other side of the "hills" from me. Have it on my full size and it's perfect. Don't own Shields anymore but put it on those I had as well. Wonderful product from great folks, very friendly every time I've called.

I have them on two of my pistols and like them. However, after a little under two years they started peeling off of the back of the grip on my Glock. Several attempts to reheat and get them to stick again with no luck

My Ruger 77/44 synthetic stock had "cheese grater" molded in "checkering" on the grip and fore end. It was down right painful after awhile. I carefully taped off the areas and used a Dremel to grind down the areas and applied TALON rubber material to the stock....problem solved. Looks custom and feels great. Check it out.
That looks great on the Ruger. I was thinking about getting the 45 Shield but did not care for the overly aggressive abrasive texture (maybe I am getting soft and sassy in my old age) and might do exactly what you did as my dremel has been gathering dust and is ready for another project

Thanks for posting your mod on the Ruger stock.

Yes, that also happened on my PPS that I put the Talons on, but figured that for the small bucks they are still worth it even if I have to change every couple of years. Also, I used the PPS for qual a couple of times so a lot of in and out of the holster, thought that may have contributed a little. For that reason I prepped the grips on my 9mm Shield better that I did on the PPS, did an extremely good job of cleaning with alcohol before applying the grips so will be interesting to see how long they go. Either way, I think they are worth it.

I have them on a dozen pistols. Have had to replace one and I am rather certain I got careless with gun cleaning solvent and let it run onto, and presumably under the grip...concur that they are great.
