Default New M&P40C

I just couldnt resist the deal on the M&P40C offered by CDNN for $359 with NS

I am amazed how much better the stock trigger is on the new M&Ps

I am NOT planning on doing the Burwell trigger job. (I did this work on a Shield and M&P45C)

The hinged trigger has always been a bit funky, but after dry firing 200 times, it seems really good, and has smoothed a great bit.

I also put on the Mecgar +2 mag caps. Also very easy to do.

This is a screaming deal.......

You got a very good deal right there. I have a M&P 40 FS and I'm just as happy.

Default New M&P40C

I put the apex polymer trigger on my 9c and it really improves the trigger a lot without any further modification.

I may still do that.... but will probably wait to see how much the trigger improves. There is a little too much takeup in the stock trigger

Sheeze....... that deal went quick

No more 40C at CDNN

I wish I would have purchased 2

This is my 3rd M&P, and the bullets are VERY tough to load by hand into the magazine

I use the UPLULA for the others but, I have always been able to load the first bullet if needed without it

Anyone else here haveing trouble loading mags?

that's normal at the beginning until the mags are broken in, load them up and let them sit for a couple of weeks, or just shoot the heck out of them.

DBasye1. The mags will loosen up where it will be managable in about. 300 to 400 rounds threw. Recommend to leave mags full

I stuffed both mags to full capacity (With my Uplulu)

I will see in a week.....

I really like the Mec Gar +2 Mag extenders

My 10+1 went to 12+1, for $10

13 rounds of 40, in a compact is amazing

Quick range report

120ish break in rounds

Not a bobble

I love this gun

easier to handle than the shield to me

recoil is not a problem

The night sights are pretty average

Decent, usable, but not as good as TFOs

You got one with NSs for $360 and I just got one without for $320. I suspect Compact Ver 2.0s are right around the corner.

Thumbs up

I've had my 40c for 2 1/2 years and have 9700 rounds through it. It has been absolutely reliable, and it has been my EDC since break-in. The trigger smoothed out nicely between 500 and 1000 rounds. My gunsmith, an S&W certified armorer, even commented on how smooth it was. It will fire any ammo I feed it, and it's very accurate out to 20 yards. I think it's the best carry gun there is: Lots of heavy hitting ammo, accurate, reliable, and pocket carryable. And you got yours for a great price. What more could you ask?

Excellent choice!

You have some big pockets!

I may go with the APEX polymer after all......

I have a lifelong habit of carrying a lot of stuff in my pockets, so pocket carrying the 40c is no biggie for me. Works great in a DeSantis Nemesis pocket holster.

Mine could be pocket carried in a few cargos I have. I do have a DeSantis IWB. Also a stickey pocket holster. That works for the 40 C & my XDs 45. The 45 is about the max I can pull off pocket carry all the time. Have a I W B for that too.

I have been giving a great deal of thought to buying an M&P40c myself. I found a pretty good deal on NIB 40c's for just shy of $320 which looks like a really good deal as compared to Bud's at $442 for the same pistol. Not knocking Bud's, they usually have some pretty good prices. It does make $320 look like a bargain though. I had been considering another FS model to replace my Beretta. I've found that with my aging eyes I don't seem to shoot full sized pistols any more accurately than mid sized. At least not up to about 25 meters. After that my groups start to grow exponentially. Funny thing is I gave my first M&P40fs to my son years ago when I bought the Beretta. Hopefully the 40c will turn out to be as dependable as the Beretta has been (or my original 40fs for that matter).

Well what a drag. I went back to buy one of those $319 M&P40c's and the price has gone up by $40. Still not a terrible price but enough to make me change my mind.
