Default Recoil springs (m&p9)

Hi everyone!
I hope this isn't a post on a over-discussed topic but here is my question:
I'm using 147gr lead bullets on a m&p9 and I'm starting to wander if it would be useful change the recoil spring with a lighter (?) one.
My problem is that I live in Italy so there's a lack of aftermarket parts. Any suggestions??
Thank you!

Muzzle energy of a 147 vs 124 is only about 10% less. Are you having problems? Usually, a firearm is designed to be used with any factory ammo load. A lighter recoil spring may end up causing feeding problems (not stiff enough to strip a round from a full mag AND chamber it fully.)

My Pistol is M&P 9L

I shoot competitively, I use WWB 115gr is has a power factor of 133 (USPSA LOW POWER FACTOR), do a google search for calculating your power factor.

I use an 11lb spring. I use the 11lb spring so recoil is dropped significantly. my double tap groups are no larger than 1.5 inches at 5-15yards. ZERO feed issues stripping and chambering has very little to do with recoil spring. You can enhance feed issues by polishing ramp and bolt face. It takes very little force to vertically strip a round from a magazine.

My question to you is this.

Why do you feel you need a lighter recoil spring?
Are there currently any symptoms your pistol is having?
What is your pistols intended purpose?

The 15-16lbs factory spring is the jack of all trades for most recreational shooter. It can handle nearly all power loads.

You have a good question and yes a lighter spring reduces recoil and helps with control.
