Exclamation Rebate Online Update

Something New...

When you go to the Milano website, Milano Online Rebate Inquiry
to check on your rebate, there are now TWO WAYS to check for your info:

1. Enter your 5-digit zipcode AND your last name

or,

2. Enter your 10-digit phone number AND your 5-digit zipcode AND your last name.

If you have multiple rebates submitted at different times they might show up if you check both ways.

On 6/26/17 I submitted the online rebate form. So far, all the Milano site is reporting :
"There is no record of a claim with the information provided."

"Please verify that the phone number, zip code, and last name were entered correctly."

"The claim may not be available at this time, please call 866-963-7933 for additional assistance."

If you submitted yours more than a month earlier than me, and are not seeing anything, then I guess I'll be waiting a long time.

Default rebate status

I submitted mine initially on 6/23. Figured there may have been a hitch since there was no kind of confirmation email, so I resubmitted on 7/4. No email or status on Milano page. I'm kind of surprised truthfully. I've done the gear rebate packages with Springfield armory twice now and it was much different. Got a confirmation email immediately plus another one within a couple weeks saying it had been processed and that I would be receiving my items. I'm interested in purchasing another Smith that would qualify for the rebate, but as of now I'm kind of hesitant to and leaning more toward the Springfield package.

Default Milano phone #

I called the listed phone number last week and a recording came on. Said you could leave your # and they would get back with you. I did not get a return call. When I called today, it said the voice mailbox was full.

S&W could have done better than this.

Everybody breathe. In. Out. In. Out. Give it a rest. The angst on this forum about the rebate is like my daughter when she was four waiting for Cinderella at Disney. It will be fine. Relax . . .

Yeah, because clearly they're looking forward to the class action suit. Much cheaper than actually issuing the rebates . . .

Wouldn't it be nice if those who are NOT concerned about their rebates stopped ridiculing those who expect reasonable feedback, promptness and professionalism from Smith & Wesson in processing their rebate(s)?

We all know that rebates take awhile to process. But, this is a 75 dollar rebate, not a 75 cent rebate and being stuck in the "Milano Black Hole" of:
No feedback after you submit a rebate;
No answer on their hotline if you call to check on it;
No consistency in their processing and mailing time;
And, the apparent lack of Smith & Wesson top management concern;
seem to be valid reasons for some to be disappointed and annoyed with how things are being handled.

It probably would be, but y'all are talking about these rebates like you were expecting the Pope's golden undies, and those of us who have bought a qualifying pistol and are kinda lazily waiting on the check are laughing. You'll get it. Relax. . .

I've seen several people mention that they've submitted the same rebate more than once...myself included.
Milano created a lot of extra work for themselves when they setup such a crappy website with problems such as allowing you to "Submit" without the documentation attached (it shouldn't allow you to proceed until you have uploaded the documentation) and not providing a confirmatory email that it was received.
Just seems real second-rate for a company with the resources of S&W.

Funny, I forgot all about the rebate since I have been enjoying shooting my MP shield 45. I'll give them another two months then I'll look at this forum again.

What nobody seems willing to admit is that psycho ADHD purchasers not believing that their submission was accepted, resulting in multiple submissions, may have slowed the process down as Milano tried to figure out what was going on . . .

It's all by serial number. Maybe they should hire an NSA guy to smooth it out.

Someone said it another thread I think, and I agree...I paid a lower than usual price to begin with for a really great firearm. It has a rebate, and if I don't get the rebate money for whatever reason, it's not gonna kill me. It's not like I lost any money. But it would be nice.

That being said, I did get mine a couple weeks ago. Cool.

My stance is this, and some may not like it, but here goes:
If you spent $350, $400, or even $450 and are hoping and praying you get that $75 rebate because you really, really need that money - perhaps you shouldn't have spent that $350, $400 or $450 in the first place. Just sayin'.

I really don't see a reason for multiple submissions of the same serial number. That would be contrary to terms and conditions. After all, the confirmation came instantly, the next web page was "we have received... Print this screen for your records".
It is disappointing that they apparently won't speed this up so that 6/30 submissions are accepted by the 7/31 end date.

I didn't think it would be unreasonable to expect some kind of confirmation email. The "thank you" page is just that. There's no kind of confirmation or verification number, so no real documentation. Just seems rather primitive in todays world. And as far as needing or banking on the rebate, it's not about that for me. I paid $475 for my Shield .45, with night sights. Maybe I would have bought it either way. But I expect them to hold up there end of the deal. Kinda like your paycheck at the end of the week. Not based on necessity, but you expect it as it was agreed upon don't you? And as far as ADHD, what's the point in having an inquiry or status webpage if it's completely broke? That just leads one to wonder when it says "sorry, no record." Do you naysayers realize this thread wouldn't even be here if that page worked?

Yes, this thread would still be here. Because some of you ninnies have nothing better to do or worry about. The rebates are coming. No one owes you a confirmation etc. Relax, don't worry. Or, is it just easier to opine on what S&W should have done? Well, start your own firearm company and o things your way.

How many threads on this rebate issue? Jesus H. Christ!

We really have become a nation of wusses.

Thanks

I don't think anyone said they weren't on their way?. It's simply a few opinions that's got the rest of you wound up. Because of a useless and worthless Milano page? What's the point in the page? It says "sorry no info," and the number listed is a waste of time dialing. Call it and then tell me what your opinion is. What's wrong with being curious about a status? I thought this forum would be a pretty cool place. Seems like just a bunch of trolling to me. Maybe this will get me booted. The bottom line is, if Smith & Wesson had their **** together with this rebate program, we'd all be on another thread. Maybe they should take some lessons from Springfield Armory.

Rebate discussion aside, this is one of the least classy posts I have read on this forum, for several reasons.

I submitted my rebate about two weeks after it started and received my check about a week ago. It did say it takes 8/10 weeks.
I think S&W could of found someone to better handle the rebate but your check is probably coming.
The check is one of those perforated thick paper gizmo's that you tear apart. It's not very big and could be confused with junk mail.

Mine was submitted the first week of April. It says there is no record of it. I forgot about it until now. This is very poor, less than sub-par service. I won't be buying another Smith & Wesson product again.

Make sure you're entering ONLY your zip code and last name. I don't recall being asked for a phone number or dealer name when filling out the form and giving too much information will only get you a message saying there is no record.

Same here.

Can someone who has received their rebate check post a picture of what it looks like so I can show my wife & kids what to look for? I'd hate to see them throw it out with the rest of the junk mail.
Thanks!

Two weeks is a long time even for the USPS. I just checked mine again and it now says received May 7 and shipped July 14. It will be interesting to see when it finally arrives.

Mine finally showed up on the Milano site. I wasn't worried about the rebate as I purchased an excellent gun, Shield 45, for a good price. However, the rebate is nice to buy more ammo.

Company Name : SMITH & WESSON, INC.
Status : Valid Submission Received
Shipped Date :
Offer Code

Offer Item Name Rebate Amount Quantity
01 $75.00 - M&P SHIELD PISTOL $75.00 1
02 $50.00 - M&P BODYGUARD 380 PISTOL $50.00 0
03 $25.00 - S&W SD/SDVE PISTOL REBATE $25.00 0
Amount Total : $75.00

Thumbs up Rebate

I sent one in for my 45 on June 13 and one for my 9mm on June 27th. S&W sent me an email for the first one on June 22 verifying receipt of my rebate form. I have not received an email for the 9mm. Nothing shows up on the Milano site yet. I decided to call to verify before the 31st deadline.
I chatted with S&W online and they told me I had to call Milano so I called them. They told me the rebates were not in their system to just wait. I asked them what am I supposed to do if I cannot verify before the 31st? She said call S&W as they go to them for verification before Milano gets them. SO I call S&W and explain it to them and the nice lady said to call Milano
I told her I already did that and she said she would call. She comes back and verifies both rebates are in the system So I guess I am good to go
