Default How to reduce uptake?

What Apex parts would I need to reduce uptake? I am fine with trigger pull, just want to reduce uptake.

The trigger. The geometry is different than standard. Tweaking the loop will change it dramatically (video)

Need to know which gun for a more detailed response from folks with actual parts experience.

The apex enhancement trigger will reduce OT and reset dramatically. I have the apex polymer on my 9c and love it. What gun do you have?

The ART trigger will cover you needs and smooth up the trigger pull too .

Sorry for not being more clear. I have a Shield 9mm, M2.0 9mm and 9c. These are duty weapons and I have heard a poicy s in the works that would restrict aftermarket triggers. I was hoping something internal and barely noticeable. Also affordable, so if I have to remove it, I am not out alot. Affordable to me is less than $50 each gun.

I have very little experience using the Apex trigger parts, but they seem to be the most popular across the board. From what I'm reading into your question, their forward set sear and kit is what you're looking for. That being said, this are the kits I have heard most of the guys having issues with and having to tweak the "candy cane" etc for reliability. Just adjusting the "candy cane" loop as mentioned above can also reduce your pretravel. This is for your compact and shield. The 2.0 works completely different. Maybe drop Apex a line or check their website and see if they have the FSS for the 2.0. You may want to do some research on using these parts for duty guns as well. I did just drop in a duty/carry kit in a 1.0, very nice, but still similar pretravel.

Having worked on my M&P's (original, shield, and 2.0) pretty extensively I can tell you that, without some kind of frame mod that would likely bypass one or more of the safeties, there is no adjustment with factory parts that can do anything about pre-travel. as stated by others, you can adjust the trigger bar loop to engage the sear sooner but then you will have massive amounts of over travel and the timing for the striker block safety could get screwed up causing light strikes when the striker glances off of the block.

the Apex FSS kit when properly installed removes all but a tiny bit of the take up and almost no over travel because of completely re-designed sear and trigger geometry but it sounds like that's not an option. Sorry man
