Default Recover tactical mag extension

Anyone have the recover tactical extension for the shield ? I've been watching those on Instagram lately and they look really nice. I would like to hear some comments before pulling the trigger.

Just took a look at the videos on their web site, very interesting product. I had not seen them before, thanks for posting Shield9mm.

I just received one and it works good. The clip does not interfere with the insertion of the mag into the pistol at all. It clips nicely into your pant pocket for easy drawing and keeps the mag up out of the junk in the bottom of your pocket.

Just a heads up, in pic's 2 & 3 they show it being used on the Shield's long mag with the grip filler piece in place. Mine won't fit unless I modify the grip filler by opening up the hole the rest of the way. I didn't see this written anywhere on their website so just a heads up in case you intend to use it on your long mag.

That's good to know I placed an order to give it a try, have no intention to use it on the 8 round mag but thanks for the heads up.

Can that clip be easily broken, bent or otherwise misshapen? It looks like if it does then the mag won't seat or insert properly.

Im guessing it doesn't add any extra ammo...just a different baseplate?

No it does not add any more ammo. It looks to be very well made and durable, they say it's made of "glass reinforced polymer". I suppose if you worked hard at it you could bend/fold/mutilate it...how, I'm not sure, but anything is possible, time will tell.

Got the recover tactical extension, they are tough and well build, doubt the clip will break easily it is very sturdy, but if it does I won't affect the mag insertion, also you have the option to use it with the clip or without. I like the design and how it looks a lot more than my modified pearce grip.

I do like it better than the pearce, also keeping a spare to install when the rebate mags arrive.
