Mec-Gar +2 extension full size?
Does the Mec-Gar +2 extension others are using on the compact work on the full size magazines?

I'm not familiar with that one in particular but I would say yes, I have Arredondo +5 on my 9c mags and also fit the full size mags, just make sure yours are 12rnds, 10 rounds mags won't accept an extension.

Yeah, I have the 12 rounds for my 9c. I have seen the Mec-Gar (M&P magazine manufacturer) on the compact. I was hoping to add +2 to my 2.0 9mm.

For info, yes, they fit the full size magazines. I paid about $14 each and now have three 19 round, full size mags. I plan on buying 5 more after I get some range time with these. Ill have five 19 rounders for my 2.0 and three 14 rounders for my 9c.

On my 2.0 the mags hold 18 rds no issue there and the Mecgar + 2 works fine and gives me a 20 rd mag, but u need to lightly slap the mag in, however the CZ + 2 bases will fit mag but not in to gun since they are about 1/8" higher then the Mecgars!

Seems like a lot of people believe M&P mags are really made by MecGar, so it would make sense that they fit. (I've recently purchased 5 M&P mags for 3 different types/calibers and on none of them or their packaging is there any "Made in" markings.)
Does anyone know if these yield +2 with 40 cal mags?

They work fine in my .40 cal Walther P-99, since it seems .40 cal mags have the same dimensions as the 9mm mags. So it holds now 14 instead of 12, however I had to trim about 1/16" at the top of the +2 base at a 45 degree angle so it fits in the gun!
Even got 1 to fit my VP9 but there the pistols grip at bottom is so curved that with a dremel simple contoured the +2 mag base which took a little while, but works great!

The MecGar +2's Optimum Series work on the full size M&P's just fine. But if you drop them on concrete just right or leave the mags loaded for long periods of time they will fail. The piece of metal the holds them in place is not the most secure thing in the world. Still I have some on my M&P's and use them for less serious business.

I never had any issues with the metal base latch and I have had some mags loaded with the +2 bases for yrs. with no issues!

I put them on the mags that came with my 2.0. I was envious of the tac ops guys 21 round magazines. I wish S&W offered something similar from the factory. +3 or 4 extension that is.

As I said earlier at least 5 major gun comp offer these +2 mag extensions on their mags and all these are basically the same with the L shaped metal latch in back, which clearly tells U that these are safe to use.
There also are at least 5 more comp. which offer +2 mag extensions which are different from the +2 and all use the standard springs which are in mags!

19+1, so 20 rounds. The light is the Inforce Gen3 APL (automatic pistol light). The last gen had 200 lumens, gen 3 has 400. They also have an APLc (compact) designed around the Glock 19. The light sits flush with the Glock 19 barrel. I thought about getting the compact, as it wouldn't extend past the end of the barrel, but it is only 200 lumens.

Actually that tells you that they are the lowest cost option available that is acceptable to the gun companies. The CZ +2's, the Beretta +2's, the Walther +2's, etc. are all the essentially the same adapters all made by MecGar for companies who they also make magazines for. Like I said I have seen them pop off when hitting concrete (loaded and unloaded) and I have see a few people lose all their ammo when they popped off during competitions. I am sure they would last forever sitting in a drawer or range bag. They are good +2 adapters and I have a few of them, but they are not comparable to say Taylor Freelance when it comes to quality and durability. Of course they cost 1/3 as much and not everyone runs their guns very hard.
