I did a search and saw some pretty good luck with the OEM threaded barrel kit packages that S&W does. I'm shopping around and talked to a CSR at S&W 2 weeks ago who told me that they have no factory threaded barrels in stock (No ETA from Smith).

I have bought a Silencerco and Gemtech barrel before and had some good luck with them, but those were Glock/Sig platforms. So far the most affordable is the Silencercoat 140-170 depending on the site.

Anyone else have any recommendations? I'm getting some fairly decent accuracy out of the factory 4 1/4 inch barrel so far after 2 outings in the desert. I like the nitriding on some of them like the Silencerco but I know they aren't the only guys doing that either. I'm not going for match grade and having to be fit by a Smith, I'd like drop in and reliable.

A threaded factory barrel was posted for sale within the last week or so

I will definitely check that. I've been posting in the WTB to find Core Backstraps, I'll just make it a daily thing to check the other section.

I am curious if anyone's recommending other than OEM these days too. Although the CSR says they are 135 plus tax, which is great, especially for a factory part.

I've had good luck with KKM barrels, their customer service is excellent.
