Default M&P9 1.0 to 2.0 interchangeability

I own an M&P9 Performance Center 1.0 and an M&P9 2.0. I know the magazines are interchangeable between the 1.0 and 2.0 guns. What about the slide assembly (barrel, recoil spring, etc.)? I ask because I much prefer the grip feel of the 2.0 to the 1.0 but my 1.0 has a ported barrel, threaded barrel, and supports mounting an RDS.

I tried that just to see and the 2.0 slide seems to fit and operate on the 1.0 frame but I don't know that I would actually shoot it like that.

The 1.0 slide definitely doesn't work on the 2.0 frame. it slid on but didn't lock up in the right position.

Thank you for that information! I was hoping to be able to use my 1.0 slide on my 2.0 frame.

See if you can find the video from Military Arms Channel on YouTube where he shoots the 2.0. I'm pretty sure he swapped the slides between the 2.0 and an original M&P but I can't recall what the results were.

That seems to be the right video. The reviewer does mount the 1.0 slide onto the 2.0 frame an racks it several times and it appears to rack properly. What he does not do in the video is actually load a full magazine into the 2.0 frame with the 1.0 slide mounted and fire the rounds in the magazine to demonstrate that the firearm will properly function when configured that way.

I just tried it again...i guess it was opposite what I remembered. The 1.0 slide does fit and seems to function properly including slide stop on an empty magazine. Still, I don't know if I wanna be the first one who tries it on live rounds. I'm sure eventually someone will.
