Default MP Shield Trigger Trouble

I was at the range this morning with my .45 and the trigger stuck in the fire position after 45 rounds. I have fired less than 125 rounds with this gun. The trigger wont budge. Unless I mistaken, I can't remove the slide while the trigger is stuck in this position.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Have you attempted to remove the slide? Gunsmith would be my suggestion and possibly send it back to S&W for warranty repair.

That sucks. Nothing like a malfunction and a return to the factory for repair to kill the mood.

This brings up a question for me. What if it was locked up with a live round in the chamber? You can't really ship it in that condition, can you?

If his trigger is just stuck in the fire position you can still rack the slide to eject a live round. Think of it like when you are checking the reset on your trigger, you pull the trigger and hold it back then rack the slide and slowly let go to feel the reset. He would essentially be doing the same thing to eject his live round after the trigger got stuck.

You should still be able to lock the slide back and use the take down lever to remove the slide. Think of a Glock when you take it down to remove the slide you pull the trigger and it locks back on its own. The MP's so you don't have to pull the trigger have the disconnect lever. You having the trigger locked back is actually taking a step towards take down so you should be able to remove the slide I'm thinking.

Once field stripped take a look at the trigger bar and see if it got bound up it someway. Or maybe something happened to your striker block that didn't allow the trigger bar passed it again after it was pulled. With the slide off make sure you can still depress the striker block feel and easily.

Hard stuck? Can you push it forward manually?

Like rperillo05 said, you should still be able to move the sear disconnect lever which will allow you to take the slide off. Once the slide is off, you should be able to see if there is some debris bound up in there.
