Default S&W Victory - first range outing

I took my new S&W Victory to the range this morning. It performed well. 200 rounds of Rem Thunderbolt, CCI Mini Mag HV, Fed Automatch and Fed Target & Field Bulk CC HP. Only one issue, it failed to load a round and upon inspection the mag was unseated (most likely user error).

Accuracy was impressive. The fiber optic sights were nice, and since it is a 22 with a bull barrel, recoil was mild and I was able to return to target quickly.

The gun definitely exceeds my ability so it will be fun to continue practicing and get better.

After I build up some strong competencies with the iron sights at 7-10 yards. I will add the TRS red dot I got with the Father's Day rebates.

I am very happy with it and would recommend it.

Welcome to the forum. I really enjoy the SW-22 as well.

It can sure burn up ammo.

I love mine as well. Depending on your preference and hand size you may want to look at some grip alternatives. I put the new Tandemkross Hives on mine and they fit my hand better (and I shoot it even better).

Make sure you inspect your barrel. After 200 rounds of Remington Thunderbolt mine was badly lead fouled.

I ran the 100 rounds of Thunderbolt first and then a 100 of the Feds and CCI. When I broke it down and inspected the barrel it was fairly clean. So the Thunderbolts worked out well for me. I will keep a close eye on it in the future.
