Palmetto State Armory & rebate?
Has anyone here received their rebate on a Shield that bought the gun at Palmetto? A friend told me there may be issues with Palmetto's receipts being accepted?

I haven't received mine either. When did you send yours in? I sent mine early June and haven't seen anything on the Milano site.

A receipt is receipt, if it's valid you will get your rebate. Patience is key. Paint your house, learn a foreign language, become a Phd. By then, the rebate will arrive.

I bought one back in May, and got my rebate a couple weeks ago. Bought my second in late June, and haven't seen anything on it yet.

June 1st to August 11th was my window after taking delivery of mine. Has nothing to do with whom you bought it from.

The problem is that you don't really get what I'd call a receipt when you order direct from PSA. Whitakers sent a receipt and it sailed right through. I didn't get any paperwork at all with my first two Shields from Palmetto so I attached pictures of my online order verification and that seemed to work OK. Submitted them online 5/22 and the rebate checks just arrived 8/11.
My second order of Shields from Palmetto did contain a shipping list that had my name penciled in along with my transfer dealer's address and the gun serial numbers. I got adventurous and figured that if I propped that piece of paper up on the S&W boxes with the S&W info tags showing visible serial numbers that a picture of that would suffice. Well, maybe not. I submitted a bunch like that on 7/8 and none ever got posted to the Milano website. It's only been a month and a couple days so they might still show, but I got a little concerned with the rebate window closing and resubmitted all of them again on 7/30. I resubmitted with the online order screenshots that don't show a serial number for the gun but do show my order address, my payment info with cc# blacked out, and my transfer dealer's address. It worked before so I'm pretty sure it'll work again,......just don't know when the checks will arrive. Probably two months if they accept the first submission and three months if they don't and hopefully accept the last minute refile.

Yeah, my concern is that as Kaveman said, you don't get an actual receipt with the gun from Palmetto. I bought two Shields, one from the LGS and one from Palmetto. I did both rebates online only a few days apart and the Palmetto one never came up on the Milano site. I've already received the rebate check for the gun I bought at the LGS.

My reciept from PSA looks legit. I go to my orders, view the purchase, click the print icon on the top right. It opens a new tab with a printer friendly view. I choose "save as pdf" and I pick where to save it. I then upload it to S&W when I submitted my rebate.
I had no issues.... did it on my tablet as a matter of fact.
Got my rebate check 12 weeks later.

I bought one the first weekend the rebates came out and waited until July 15th, before I received it. It wasn't palmetto, it was the people s&w hired. They were just overwhelmed with the response. It took them a month to just put printed checks into the mail!

For what it's worth mine never showed up on the Milano web site and my rebate did eventually arrive. There's still hope.

Ordered from them June 25. Check arrived August 12.
The "receipt" I sent in with the rebate form was simply the confirmation email from Palmetto.
It does take time for the rebate to complete but it is worth it. The price of the Shield with rebate is super. The pistol is worth much more than its cost.,

Thanks for the replies about Palmetto. I guess it's not out of the ordinary for the info not to show on Milanos site and still have them send the rebate.

I bought mine at Palmetto state, and I just sent the PDF copy of the order.
Got my refund last week, and almost missed it.
It came in a smallish envelope from (I can't remember the name, maybe MCS?)
The check was an odd looking thing on heavy paper or card stock, and I had to study it a bit to make sure it was a check.
The bank had to study it for a bit too.
Don't throw away junk mail without opening it.

no issue with PSA. Just takes a long time for the rebate to happen. As mentioned it is more or less a small card (3x5?) envelope from MPS and could be easily passed as junk mail.

Everyone hates rebates! The "game" is that the manufacturers really only expect a small percentage of people to actually apply for them so they and the retailer get bonus sales, and unlike a discount, they only "payout" a partial compared to a straight out cash discount. I'll take anytime I can, as even if you have to wait month's, it's still a reduction in cost! I think the original $75 cash rebate from S&W, and their terrible handling of the processing was directly caused by the large number of consumers looked at sale prices PLUS the $75 cash and the couldn't pass up the bargain. I'd also guess the followup promo didn't have near as many takers.

Play the game or don't play the game. The great thing is that it is YOUR choice! Me-I play the game. I know the rules and are OK with them. Bought two(2) from PSA got my rebate checks right at 12 weeks just like I figured.
Full disclosure. I also play the game where I let the super markets track my purchases by using their little discount cards. They are looking for information and are willing to pay me with discounts to get it. I'm good with that. If I am buying something that I don't want them to know about-for example a gallon of KY, a twelve pack of Trojans and a party pak of snickers bar-then I just don't use the card.
Jeeze people play the game or don't-it's pretty simple.

I totally agree! I, play the game!
As an example, I recently bought a new Shield 45 from my LGS&R. Took advantage of the $75. Rebate. My annual membership at the range was about to run out so I renewed it: $135. The LGS&R has a policy that lets you have a free annual range membership if you buy any new gun, or they discount the MSRP by the cost of the membership. So... I bought the Shield at the MSRP of: $479.99 +8.1% Tax = $518.87 -$135. =$383.87 -$75. =$309.
You have the choice, you can play the game, or not! I chose to play.
