JUST LOST MY SHIELD
Took my wife out to shoot today. She shot her model 38 and said she didn't like it. Tried my model 10 snub, the same. Then I let her try my Shiled 9C. She loves it! Guess I will need to find another BUG!!

The price of sharing the good stuff! But they still have a promotion going on... and Shields can still be bought at very nice prices. Maybe a 45 this time...

I was really hoping this was a, "wife got it", thread. Worse things can happen to a guy than a wife liking one of his S&W's. Congrats.

My MBH (much better half) has a Colt Detective Special and a 9 mm Shield. She shot both at the range yesterday and told me afterwards that she was glad she bought the Shield.
I get to keep mine. :-)
Have a blessed day,
Leon

If I was married it would be to a girl that wanted my guns. She could have what she wanted and I'd buy more.

I have been very lucky with wives and guns. My first wife shot a 44 magnum for her first handgun and knocked herself out from the recoiling gun, LOL! Serves her right for not listening, oh and not to me, to a friend of her's who told me the story when I was showing him my Colt 1911s.
My current wife, only my second if you're counting, is a long gun kinda woman and really likes beating the pants off me in skeet shooting. Don't get me wrong she likes shooting handguns but she'd rather shoot shotguns or rifles.
Yep, there are far worse things a wife can do aside from liking and coveting your handguns, trust me I know, like getting a $250,000 settlement in our divorce, plus getting to keep our farm. Grrrrr..... LOL!

I say this as a big Shield fan, but if she passed on your Model 10 snubbie in favor of your Shield, I'd say you got lucky !!!
It's way easier, and cheaper, to replace a Shield, than a sweet little snub nose S&W.

MY wife has always shoot my handguns but never claimed any as hers till I bought a Kimber stainless ultra 9mm . One mag of ammo fired and she smiled and said it would make HER a great EDC replacing her m&p9c .
We have been together for 41 years and this is the first time she claimed something I bought for my self . I did buy a replacement . A S&W 669 , same basic size and weight with a couple extra rounds .

My wife has taken over several of guns including my Shield 9. Right now,
her gun drawer has her Shield 9, her Kahr CM9, her Ruger LCP, her Gen
2 Glock 19 and her S&W 642. All of which used to be mine.
But after 50 years of marriage, I've learned to just go with it.
You'll be happier in the long run.

Was trying to find a fullsize 9mm for my fiance. She liked the the Star B Super, but was a little "meh!" on a Hi Power clone and a M&P. Then she tried my Grand Power K100 Mk7. Oops! Had to buy her a P1 (same gun with shorter tube).
Did I mention she likes my LC9s more than I do, too?

Same thing happened to me, and I went with a Performance Center to replace it, during the rebate.
However, she has trouble manipulating the slide, and is looking at a Walther PPS M2 now...

My M&P9C suffered the same fate! However I really prefer hammer fired guns so it wasn't a big deal.
