Hi OP. I have one of the PC Shields with the Hi Viz sights; overall I like them a lot. I prefer fiber optics in most cases, as they work well for my eyes.
Now the indoor range i spend most of my time at can be pretty dark inside (depending on lane choice). So if my Shield sits in my dark safe, travels in a case, and then is in a darker lane; well the front pin is not overly bright. For those times i just back up a foot or so to get myself a little under the table lighting; that can work wonders.
Outside, they work great.

I intend to let my Shield sit out in the light for awhile before i hit that range next time; just wont be able to report back on how that worked for a couple months as it's a Gander Academy location and well, its not opening back until later in the year.

I'm probably wrong on how they capture light; I assumed they held some but could be mistaken in how they work

I like the Hi Viz sights on my PC shield so much that I put some on my non PC shield. They pick up the light and make the sights brighter but they have no luminescence to them being if it dark they are hard to see. One thing to keep in mind is the the light pipes, as they are called, on some have fallen out. That being said I have had no issues but if you search it you'll find plenty of postings of those who have.

I like how you can quickly change the light pipes to change the colors of you sights.

Thanks for the info guys.I don't go to the outside range much it's mostly inside for me and the lighting isn't the greatest so maybe I should consider TRU GLO sights? any input on those?
