Default Is the performance center shop now using the Apex USB?

I recently took possession of a brand new M&P PC 9L, and the first thing I did was order an Apex ram and an Apex striker block.
The ram I need, the reset is not audible (very short but not audible) but when the USB arrived it looks identical to the striker block that's already in there, it's already nicely rounded and polished. So I'm wondering, is S&W using the Apex USB's in the pc M&P's now or are they just machining theirs much better now in the pc shop?
my trigger pull is right a 5 pounds, I've put about 800 rounds through it so far and honestly it I could get it just one pound lighter and get that reset I'd be thrilled with it. It's not gritty and already has a crisp break to it (really by far the best stock M&P trigger I've ever fired).

I felt the same way about my Pro 9 (5") trigger. I installed the Apex flat trigger & Forward Set Sear kit. My trigger is at 4lbs. If I were to use the factory trigger spring its right at 3lbs! But 4 is what I like.
I wouldnt call it a hair trigger & I don't feel its unsafe, but for all practical purposes there is no pre-travel.
The Apex USB was part of the kit, and was definitely more machined than the stock on from the Pro shop. Maybe they did change it. Mine was bought new in April 2013.

Hmmm...mine is brand new 2017, I'm using this for competitions so a slightly lighter trigger would be nice. I may change the actual trigger to a polymer flat faced one, I 'm not a huge fan of the "hinged" trigger S&W uses , I'm used to it but don't love it.

I don't shoot like this guy, but I understand what he is saying because I did the same kit.

The Apex RAM only works in older M&P's with the old sear block... if its a brand new production gun the RAM shouldn't even have a place to go.... unless they're still using the old design with the PC guns....

and no, they aren't using apex USB's just machining their own. Heck, they probably copied Randy's design

Pretty sure apex is using better grade steel in theirs. I can't remember for sure if S&W uses steel injection molding to do their striker block safeties like they do in the sears, but Randy's are actually milled from billets. That's why their cost to size ratio is so high. Metal injection molding isn't necessarily a bad thing but it is still inferior in quality to machining from a solid block.
