Default First shots with TRUE Precision barrel in M&P Shield

Was gifted a threaded barrel, a TRUE Precision TiN coated in gold.

Finally got back to the range to shoot it (summer temps and work schedule kept away away).

Went into a Performance Center Shield as I don't care too much about the porting. Also had the standard Shield but didn't bother trying it out in that one.

Thought it shot pretty nicely.

Post range revelation...

At 10-15 yards, I shoot more consistently with the Shields over my Sig P320.

At 15-25 yards, I shoot more consistently with my gf's VP9 over my Sig P320.

Mine also went into the PC shield and it's performance was excellent. Mine is not threaded

Second range trip and simply looking at distance, the Shield w/ TRUE Precision barrel is outperforming my P320 (all operator issue of course).

See the low left when I wasn't doing my part.

Thanks for this post, I've been wondering about barrels for the Shield...
...and of course they don't have on their website a barrel for the .45

I don't care for the ports on the barrel. I shot some through the ported barrel that day too.

I didn't have my .40 pistol with me and I presume that'd be much louder than the ported 9mm barrel.

So the gf got a muzzle break to use on her VP9 SilencerCo TB.

Luckily it was the same thread pitch as the True Precision so I put it on.

First 3 shots with 115gr, til it failed to fully cycle.

So tried some 135gr Freedom Munition HPs. With this ammo, ejection with the stock barrel was 3x stronger than with the muzzle break, but it worked well enough to cycle. It was bordering the ejection of my Glock 19 Gen 4 though lol.

Ported Barrel vs Muzzle Break: skip through the slowmo, thought it was kind of cool seeing the casing fly so I left that footage in lol.
