Default Wifes 9c with Apex 5lbs trigger

A few weeks ago we were at the range shooting steel, shaped like a long envelope at 15 yards.

She only hit 1 of 27rds on steel.

Then she tried my friends 9c with the apex 5lbs trigger and hit 4 of 10, then 8 of 9 on steel. So guess what i bought...

A better trigger is a great asset in being ontarget in my opinion. Don't be surprised that the 5lbs may eventually get closer to 4lbs.
Glad to hear she improved to nearly perfect on steel!

The flat-faced purple looks nice. Is that the duty kit?

Its the flat face kit, but i got the duty spring to add the 1lbs extra. This is a carry pistol for when we go to vegas and 4lbs is to light. Only can carry in vegas because hawaii doesnt allow ccw or open carry.

yeah, the flattys only come in the FSS kit but they come with 2 different weight trigger springs... one that looks like the factory one (i.e. silver) and one that is painted green. Both are heavier than the stock trigger spring but the green one is for a heavier, duty/carry type pull. Surprisingly enough, most of the apex springs that come in their kits are actually heavier than stock with the exception of the competition kits. Some people will mix in stock springs with the apex ones at different places to really dial in their pull. I've played around with this a bit myself but ended up finding that most of the time I like the set up with all apex stuff the best. My one exception is my shield... I have the apex sear and sear plunger spring but everything else is factory and I stoned and polished the factory striker block to a profile similar to the apex. trigger on that baby is excellent.
