When at the range I noticed in stead of a little dot on the Primer I had a dot and a groove down from there. I had no problems with the gun firing but found this odd. Anyone here have this happen?
That's the normal primer signature on most all recoil operated semi-auto pistols.
The groove is from the cam action of barrel tilt during initial recoil unlock as the firing pin retracts...it drags on the primer.
Next time you clean it look on the breech face. There is a machined groove where the primer extrudes during firing to protect the firing pin as the slide begins to unlock.
