Default M&P 2.0 Compact with 5" CORE Slide Test

I have a CORE 5" and am looking to buy a 2.0 Compact but I would like to know if the compact frame will function with the CORE slide on it. I know the 5" slide fits on the 2.0 compact frame and the slide stop catches on the slide with an empty mag. It also dry fires fine with the CORE slide and compact frame but I just want to know if it will go bang reliably.

Anybody with both of these guns want to test the theory for me?
A pro series 5" slide or CORE slide could be used for the test.

Thanks
