Default New M&P 45 2.0

Just picked up my new M&P 45 2.0 today and she is a beauty. I do have the M&P 9 FS in 1.0 and the 2.0 is certainly an improvement. I like the aggressive stippling and the thinner slide. Also, the trigger is lighter than my 9mm and has a noticeable trigger reset. The SKU I purchased is the 11526 with a born date of 04-04-17. Maybe tomorrow I'll get to the range?
I am looking forward to the new compacts coming out as they are in my future........

Is that with a 5 inch barrel? I assume it is. I wonder why FDE is only available in 9mm.

But yeah, I want a 5 inch 45 at some point in my future and my 3 choices are the P320, XD Mod.2, and M&P 2.0.

Looks like the 4.5" barrel length to me in the pic.

5" barrel is only in the FDE'S and it's available in 9 and 40.

Thinner slide you say? On the 2.0 45? Now that is interesting.

How much thinner? Is it lighter as well?

2 oz lighter with a slightly longer barrel and slide over the 1.0 and maybe a 10th of an inch thinner. I compared it with my 1.0 model and a dial caliber.

Thanks Colonel. That is a significant fact in my book. Especially for CCW consideration.

Wonder if a 2.0 45c is in the works?
