Shield :Performance Center .45 ACP Owners?
Hello, do any of you on S&W Forum have one of these,
and does it have less recoil than a comparable standard Shield
.45 ACP pistol?

I own one. Shoots great. Don't know the answer to your question.

Don't own one. But I might be more helpful than the last comment.
The felt recoil should be about the same; the porting should decrease muzzle rise so you can stay on target a little easier for follow up shot.

I've fired a lot of guns. The Shield 45 recoil is easy, even one handed.

I've got one. I haven't fired a regular shield 45 so I don't know. My PC shield is easy on the recoil and is a pleasure to shoot. I like the sights and trigger as well.

Can I ask what ammo, 165, 200, or 230 grain out of the 45 Shield for defense?

I have a PC model it has less recoil than a XDs 45 however compared to a non PC shield I do not know as I have never fired a non PC model. I carry 230. The trigger is nice the sights are good. The pistol has 500+ rounds with no issues.

I brought it home today.
Think I will trust the Double Tap 200 grain Bonded Defense
loading of the Speer Gold Dot.

I own a PC Shield45. I rented a standard Shield 9mm st a range. My PC45 felt like the 9mm when shot one after the other.

PC Shield 45 front green fiber optic fell out somewhere/somehow. Called S&W PC Customer Service. They advised me to call HiViz. They told me they had a bad batch when my gun was made and asked for my name & address. That was last Friday 8/24. It came today 8/31. Installed in seconds. GREAT Customer Service.
