Default 2.0 9mm FDE Magazine accent

Hi there! My first post and i must say after getting the gun and fired 100 without hiccups is so damn good!

My question for you guys is, since im here in CT the magazine it came is 10rds. Also, im expecting that the base accent is FDE as well. Mine came with black.

Should i be worried with the plate and might something mixed up? Im not complaining with the capacity, just concerned the way it came and expecting FDE as well.

Thanks

I as well live in CT and yes, the 10 round limit stinks. I as well am getting a 2.0, but in black, no safety, 10 round. Where did you get the gun? I would think wherever you got it from sold you a 10 round mag, but a look at the website when I was buying showed FDE was sold over the 10+1 limit. So if bought through ffl, they can't give you the mags that come with the gun before giving it to you. If you bought at store, they may again sub in ten rounders. You should be able to find a matching base plate though. Unless I misunderstood your question.

What was your question then? Lol. Why the base plate didn't match the gun?

Yes that's because the original mags that come with that gun aren't 10 rd. See if you can find some of those base plates on eBay. I wanted that gun as well through an ffl but I knew they'd snatch the larger mags and make me buy 10 rd. Enjoy it!

When I purchased my FDE 9mm a few days ago the Smith rep (it was S&W day at the shop) said that the extra mags will likely have black bottom plates.

Probably to save money. But we live in a ten round state. So my thinking is the store(being Hoffman's) orders the guns and substitutes the 17 or 15 round with the tens which didn't ship with the gun hence no color matching base plate.
