Got my 2.0 today!
I gotta say, this feels like it's going to be a very enjoyable gun to shoot. I have the ML grip on it right now, but can't decide between large or medium large as far as which is more comfortable. Its considerably easier to rack the slide than my shield and a full mag seats much easier as well. Its not as aggressive as I remember it in the store, but that was 4 months ago. Time will tell how much I like it but initial impressions are good. Carrying it in the IWB holster I have should be fun. Are there any must have accessories you guys can't live without for these things? On my shield I changed the base plate on the 7 round mag to a Pearce extension and added as well the grip plug. Besides those two and a custom slide back plate cover, that's all I did.

I'm happy with my shield. I don't think I'll get the compact, wish they made a safetyless 2.0 in a 5" barrel!

So question. Does the safetyless 2.0 have frame plugs?! It looks like it does. I would have gotten the fde if I knew it had plugs!

Keep it clean and keep it in stock condition
And use good ammo stay away from the cheap junk

I like my baby shield too, and my full size 9mm, but I have some obsession for compact guns. The 2.0 5" FDE is on my shopping list too, and the safety can be easily removed.

Does the 3/4" barrel difference make a huge impact on accuracy overall?

After having my love handle sanded off by the 45 Shield, I think I’ll pass on the 2.0.

Hmm. Darn. I wanted the FDE but didn't realize at the time that i ordered the 4.25" that i could replace the safety with frame plugs and there was no other modification needed.

Just realized these are the same sights smith puts on at the factory on PC models. I was going to go with the tritium/FO hybrid sights but since I don't plan to carry this at night and it won't be a bedside gun, I went with pure FO. Plus, I can change the colors with other offerings without having to cut and melt them which I'm hoping the design of them protects the fiber optic from being snapped.

Congrats on the 2.0, I absolutely love mine. This will be putting my G19 on the back burner for a while. I shoot it better and the ergos are amazing. Once I hit the grip with some sandpaper I didn't have an issue at all.

Yes, I have them on my PC Shield-- all my other pistols had night sights or standard (shield non-PC) and the slim front post makes for better target acquisition. I like it so much I went with it for my most recent pistol.

I talked to Smith the other day. The rep told me they are not in stock as of yet and no ETA.
the SKU for them is 3006328. Quantico Tactical has them available for pre-order but no ETA either.

Thanks for the tip. I had called them this morning and they told me the same thing. I didn't know about the preorder at QT, that is the first place online I have even seen them listed. I preordered a few.

I lightly sanded the side that is against my skin and it's night and day. Much better and there is no visible signs of sanding. I dry fired an M&P 2.0 a couple of days ago - WOW, what a difference from 1.0. Nice trigger.
