Compact 2.0 and G19 Comparison.
Case anyone's curious. Stacked on top of each other and the back.

I handled the M&P 2.0 c at an open house last week. It was the sales rep sample and not for sale. I ordered one on the spot and am waiting impatiently.

It was the same for me. I think my LGS got one in about 3 days after I was put on the list.

15 in 9 and 13 in 40.
But no one has extra mags in stock for them yet. Not even S&W.

They do give you two adapters so you can use your full size mags.

I have the Gen 5 Glock 19 and the M2.0c. I am liking the M2.0 more. The new Glock trigger is awesome. Glock got that part right. Just the slightest hair better than the 2.0c. Besides that, pick which one you like the grip on better and choose that one.

I have almost 500 rounds through mine without a single malfunction. Mostly White box and you know how under powered that is. The more I shoot it, the more I like it.

Friend brought his 2 month old G19 over and we shot it together with my new 2.0. He went home and immediately ordered the 2.0 and now regrets buying the Glock.

As you can see in the pics the G19's grip angle protrudes back just a bit more than the M2.0C. It also has more of a "block" feel to it over the M2.0C.
The 2.0C trigger is very nice, but the G19's trigger is better, IMHO. Also, aftermarket parts for the G19 are more abundant and cost less than the limited parts for the 2.0C.
After the dust has settled, I would choose the 2.0C over the Gen 5 G19. But, I would also buy a Gen 5 G19 at the same time as I would buy the 2.0C.

It wont be long till Compact parts are available. I honestly think it will give the G19 a run for the money. I have both, but Glock really needs to see the light, the grip sucks, why do they keep using it?

I have no idea. I think if they switched the grip the guns would sell even more. Oh well looks like S&W will be getting more business.

FWIW, Military Arms Channel just posted a video comparing the two pistols. Almost identical in every respect to the G19.

Are you shooting one better over the other? I started looking around at a replacement for my 320 and ended up w a G19 (G3). I should have looked at the 2.0 more closely.

i ran the 9c as my go-to for a while. Recently made the switch to my G19 gen 5. Both are modded guns, with the 9c being modded with recoil spring and triggers (i stippled and cut the frame on both to my liking).
I'd say its personal preference on grip and feel.

I like the 2.0 grip and feel better but shoot glock better. Think it's bc of the flat trigger on the glock. Apex likely soon on my 2.0c

I'd like to see the two slides compared for width. Which one is wider? Are the frames the same thickness?

They are very close. A better determining factor is which feels better in YOUR hand.

The 2.0 9 Compact that I handled had a much more "streamlined" slide shape than the Glock. It's about like comparing the interior of a Cadillac SRX to that of a Chevy Equinox. Both go down the road at 70 MPH, but I like the style of one a whole lot better than the other. I was allowed to snap it a few times. That particular gun I would judge is at least a 200% improvement over the trigger of last new M&P 9 (1.0) FS gun that i handled - much better!
I liked the new version a LOT better than the old one, so when/if one comes along with a thumb-safety that actually feels and works like a thumb-safety, I most likely will buy it. No positive thumb-safety, no sale.

The same could be said for just about any handguns slide compared to the Glock.

My 2.0 compact thumb safety clicks on and off well. Not quite like an all steel 1911 but definitely acceptable to me. It feels almost exactly like my Novak BHP with their extended thumb safety. Not super clicky but clicky enough for me.

I just ordered the new 2.0 Compact, going to put the Inforce APLc as the light on the pistol.
Really looking forward to it.
I have several G19s, a couple of Sig P320s so going to be comparing the new M&P 2.0 Compact to them.

I recently picked up a 2.0 compact. From the specifications and comparing it to my Gen 4 19's (Don't have a Gen 5 yet), I see they are very similar in size (MAC does a good job in the video above comparing sizes).
I will say that the weight balance feels different in the 2.0 Compact from the Glock. From the specs they are almost identical in overall weight. However. the 2.0 Compact feels more muzzle and top heavy to me, but that is just my perception, as I have not weighed the slides, etc. It seems the metal in the slide may be a bit thicker than the Glock.
Not sure if that makes sense but it is my perception. I shot them side by side a bit this weekend, and that weight balance difference may be allowing the 2.0 to get back on target faster and have less muzzle flip than the 19, but I'll have to do more shooting to report further on this.

I don't care how it compares with the Austrian murder Lego. What I want to know is how does it compare with the original M&P C?

I shot my new G19.5 next to the M&P 2.0 Compact yesterday, total of 800 rounds, 400 rounds evenly split. Took a while as I only have four M&P mags, plenty of Glock mags...brought seven with me. There were zero malfunctions of any kind and both were a joy to shoot IMO.
I will say the 19.5 shot like a Glock, I was more accurate with it as I am used to shooting Glocks but the 2.0 Compact was a bit easier to shoot with its ergo's, light trigger. It was a bit more difficult to feel/hear the reset than the Glock but still, good enough for what it is. I do like the lack of finger grooves on the 19.5, my favorite thing about it. The finish would be next. I see no difference in accuracy between this Gen 5 and my other Glocks...all are more accurate than I could ever be as a shooter.
However, one big negative was the BTF and light ejection pattern of the lighter 115gr ammo. Now I shoot Glocks all the time, as I have a few and none put brass to my face, even with lighter ammo. The 124gr FMJ and all self defense loads ejected normally. However, as I shot more, the brass started to eject properly, though still not as strong as the hotter ammo. The 2.0 had no issues with the ejection pattern, no matter the ammo. Regardless, both are keepers, I am a Glock fanboy but this new 2.0 is an excellent alternative. Biggest negative about the 2.0 is the gritty take up and rough grip texture. Not for shooting, it worked great but for conceal carry, on the skin, not the best feeling.
The ammo broke down like this:
Blazer Aluminum 115gr FMJ: 200
WWB 124gr NATO: 200
Remington Brass 115gr FMJ: 100
Critical Duty 135gr JHP: 100
Speer Gold Dot 124+p JHP: 50
Gold Sabre 124+p BJHP: 50
Federal 115 +p+ JHP: 50
HST 147gr JHP: 50

I like it MUCH better in terms of what it feels like in the hand. As for shooting, can't say, but I expect that to be an improvement also. The older 9c and 40c are too short in the grip as far as I am concerned, and I think the new grip texture will be a positive thing for most.

Do most not wear an undershirt while carrying? No flame, just an honest question.
My 2.0C is on the way. Looking forward to comparing to my 9C1.0
