That damaged appearing area on the slide, I believe, functions as the gun's disconnector and it hits on the trigger bar just where it looks like the scratching is in this photo, so I assume one has caused the other.

I'd just fix it myself instead of sending it back to S&W, for time's sake, by smoothing out that area.

The trigger bar on one of mine looked like that. It had a noticeable hitch in the trigger take up, I think right where those two parts meet. I lightly stoned that area of the trigger bar and the hitch is gone. My other 2.0 looked and felt better out of the box.

I have a small ding like that in both of my 2.0 slides, mine look a little smaller but it is hard to tell since you so nicely zoomed in.

I have over 600 rounds through my two with zero issues.

I've only fired one of mine and only around 40 rounds. On that one, I have very light scratches on the trigger bar and the tiniest little ding. Both appear much less "severe" on mine than in your photos.

Default I see..

I message to S&W with facebook messenger and they said
like this. so I just better let it go right? it's kinda ugly and bothers me but.. well.
the Thompson center said they want me to send it back so they can examination.
which one right? Customer service? or Thompson Center..
I know it might no problem for the performance but looks pretty scratched up..
and if I send it then they gonna send me brand new gun? or just change the slide and the trigger bar?
it's annoying..

Reviving old thread here

My 2.0c is first batch 2017 with around 600 rounds.
Today during cleaning I came across nick in that area also some roughage on trigger bar were they connect.

I contacted S&W for warranty repair which will take 6-8 weeks to complete + I will have to remove Trijicon HD XR sights before sending.
Is it really worth it , I'm thinking not.
I more then likely will replace trigger bar & have gunsmith smooth out dent resembling one in your picture

Update:
Further examination , nick in my channel area isn't deep as yours.
I did find burrs wrapped around that kick out edge.
They were primary cause of my trigger bar damage , it occurred during slide cycling.

The fix.
I used 2000 grit emory cloth very lighty sanding burrs down & replaced trigger bar.
Issue resolved in 2 hours.
