With all the new models coming discounts and rebates abound for the Shield, SDVE, Bodyguard, etc. Do you think S&W will do the same for the M&P9 compact any time soon? It's still $489 at Academy, $499 at Cabelas and the Shield is really being discounted. I have a Shield but would like to pick up a 9 compact. Just hoping for a price break soon.

I would doubt any more rebates any time soon! If so it might be on Gen. 1's?

I don’t think so. The M&P compact and 2.0 compact are two different animals that fill two different rolls.

Holiday season coming up, be patient and wait for sales if you can. I was in 45 market, so wasn't really looking at the compacts, but I haven't seen them "cheaper" anywhere else yet. Some sites seem to adjust their prices by the day sometimes hour. Grabagun has 9c with safety for $450ish I think.
