Bought this brand new and 1St day on the range the slide stayed opened on about the 4Th clip.. Had to hit the back of it really hard to get it to close. Took it home. Completly cleaned and oiled it and if I pull the slide back in a quick motion. I csn still get it to stay open.. Like it's very sticky.. Any thought. As this is my new carry pistol

I'd guess you've got a spring that sticks out like these do. One picture the spring is completely out and the other is compared side by side to show one properly seated and one coming out.

Can you give us a little more to go on? What kind of ammo?

Stayed open after the 4th magazine. empty magazine..? rounds still in the magazine...? Rounds hanging up on the feed ramp? need a little more info.

If your just racking the slide it should not lock back unless you push up on the slide lock
