If you want a less conspicuous way to carry a spare, take a look at the SnagMag.

holsterman6376 on Ebay nylon with velcro straps double pouch $14.77.... I have one and I like it...functional and cheap. It says 7-9 round mags...but fits my 10 rd Hyve mags just fine.

I carry a SnagMag. Fits neatly in my left front jeans pocket. Mag slips right out when I need it. Stays put in the meantime.

Thumbs Up on Blade-Tech Total Eclipse
I have purchased a variety of mag pouches, from most of the major brand makers, for the Shield, most of them pretty good. However, the one I have found to be the absolute best for me is the Blade-Tech Total Eclipse Mag Pouch, as it holds the mag securely, comfortably and keeps it extremely close in to my side. Have found some of the mag pouches let the mag tilt out a bit if you do not cinch your belt up real tight, but the Blade-Tech Total Eclipse grabs my belt tightly and keeps the mags in close to the body. I also bought a couple of them for my FNS9C which has both 12 and 17 round mags and even keeps both of those in close.

I really like my Kytek OWB mag holder for my Shield. Very minimal design and holds very good.
