Default 2.0 Shield trigger vs 2.0 5" trigger

Seems like there's twice as much takeup on the 5" than on the Shield. And yeah, one gun is half the size of the other so I understand the size of everything is smaller in the Shield, but I'm a bit surprised the Shield trigger is, actually, better. It's crisper, less take up and the 5" seems almost a 3 stage trigger....a ton of take up, hits the wall...then it almost another stage, takeup under tension?, before it goes bang.

Now I just got this, used, but supposedly lightly used. Cleaned and lubed it....not a bad trigger at all, just more different than the Shield than I thought it would be.

Could here be an Apex in my future?

Any comments or observati?

Note: I love the feel of this gun, I like the trigger better than most strikers, and can't wait to run it against my PPQ, which is one of the guns I shoot best.

You will be impressed how the apex FSS trigger kit improves your trigger.

Look at the new Apex Flatty trigger for the full size and compact. I have heard nothing but praise for this new trigger. Many reviews on youtube.

My 2.0 9mm 5" is a 'Pro Series' and the trigger is pretty good.
Not much different than my 2.0 9mm Shield.
I really like my 2.0 3.6" 9mm Compact - perhaps because it has such great balance in my hand!

For me, the biggest thing about the 5" is that the added velocity makes it 'snap' or kick just a bit more - noticeable in comparison, but certainly not in a bad way.

I need to shoot them all MORE, and pay more attention, since I've only had them for a few months.
