Default PC Shield 9 Trigger

I have had my PC Shield 9mm for over 2 years and have run probably close to 2,500 rounds through it. I have always liked the trigger OK but it has recently developed a gritty feel. Any recommendations on how to get the trigger back to the way it was? Is it something I can do myself, or do I need to bring it to a gunsmith or send it back to S&W? Any help would be appreciated.

take the slide off, and pull the trigger, is it smooth? if so, look at the striker block. is it dirty? use a pencil, and press it in as a button, is it gritty? try to blow it out, oil it up, etc. you may have to drift the rear sight, and remove it to clean it, but at that point, id replace it with the apex striker block.

I can't imagine it being gritty after all those rounds-- it's gotta be dirty!

I'm just under 2k on mine and it's only getting better with use!
