Just Joined the M&P 2.0 9MM Compact Club
I just won a M&P Compact 9 and am pretty excited about the acquisition. Believe I got a top notch deal on it based off some prices I have seen.
A friend of mine picked up a .40 a couple of weeks ago and I got the chance to shoot it the other day. I really like the feel of it and now regret spending some extra cash on spare magazines for a Glock 19 that I have. Would have redirected the money to M&P Magazines had I knew then what I know now.
Anything I should know about her before she arrives and I get the chance to break it in?
Thanks.

Congrats on the new pistol! It is a fine firearm. I llike mine better than my G19. Very accurate and soft shooting in 9.

Congratulations. I have had a 2.0 compact in 9mm for a few months now and have taken to it more quickly than about any gun I've ever owned.
I too like it better than my G19s. Personal preference.
Only advice for what to do awaiting on its arrival is simply to buy lots of ammo and targets.
May you shoot it in good health.

Congratulations on your purchase!
Perhaps a couple of 17 round magazines? Those magazine sleeves that come with the gun have to go somewhere.

You got yourself a really good sidearm. I love mine!
There is a good review by an older guy like me on the M&P forum
Might be of interest to you.

Congratulations on the new gun. I have no doubts that you’ll enjoy it very much. I sure won’t part with mine. Make sure to get plenty of ammo...it’s a real pleasure to shoot.

I'm very close to getting the 2.0 9C, I carry a Shield 9 and would like to carry the new 2.0 9C but I'm concerned it's considerably larger than my Shield and I'm not sure I want to carry something that large. I'll probably get one anyway, I love the grip and trigger.

Congrats. I rented one a few weeks ago and walked out of the range into the store front and plopped down the cash on the spot. The 2.0 C is not only crowding the G-19, which is an excellent pistol, but IMO, also augmenting my life long love of the Browning Hi-Power for rapid fire manageability. S&W got everything right on this one.

Same here, As a BHP carrier and shooter it fits my hands better than the VP9 I traded for it. 2 15rnd mags and 2 17 rnd mags w/sleeves. Unfortunately mine has the thumb safety, don't care for them but was the only one in the store. Will S&W remove them for me?

I don't know, but if mine had the safety, I probably wouldn't mind that much. It's the same fine pistol with or without.

Call S&W customer service. They will send to you free the plugs that fit where the ambi TS levers attach. You can watch youtube videos on how to remove the safety mechanism & then install the plugs. It will take you a few minutes - not too difficult. It's something I would do myself if I wanted to get rid of the TS, but I like having the TS. All my semi-autos have them.
