I have a 2.0 9mm 5 inch fde.
I love this gun. I have about 400 rounds through it now.
I just have one question.
It will eject spent cases straight up or just barely come out and hit me on the arm. I am left handed shooter.
Not sure this is a issue or not. I do not have the problem with my 1.0 gun.
It might be my imagination but I think it might be getting better.
I hope to put another hundred or so this week.

My new 4.25" 9mm 2.0 ejects perfectly, and consistently to the right, and behind.

I suggest you look a little deeper into your pistol. There is something not quite right. I would examine the extractor closely, for flash or excess coating, and if you can, compare the ejector to another 9mm 2.0 to see if they look the same.

The comment that you think its getting better, makes me think its possibly the coating on the extractor starting to wear in.

Other causes for weak ejection are under powered ammo, and limp wristing.

I have the same gun, and have found it's a bit picky on ammo. Have you tried different brands/loads to see if the issue goes away? Love the gun, shot another 100 rounds through it yesterday. But it does not like lighter loads.

Just my reloads and some tula steel case.
All work good in other guns. Including my 1.0 4.25inch .
I might get some ammo at wal mart and see.

A friend has one that will not eject my 9mm range loads when he shoots it. It works fine with them when I shoot it. I lock my wrists and press my palms HARD toward each other to minimize gun movement from recoil. Combine my light loads with his gentle touch, and "the gun has a problem."
Brownells has ISMI recoil springs in lighter weights, which might be the ticket to tune the gun to your ammo and grip.

I definitely have problems with Tula steel ammo in three guns and Winchester 9mm steel cased ammo.

Yeah, I mostly shoot reloads too. My favorite load, which all my other 9's love, gives me a lot of issues with the subject gun. I went back to an older load I used to use, using 5.3gr of Win Super Field for 115gr plated RN bullets. A little snappier, but works the slide 100% of the time. I only use that load in that gun, so it's a bit of a hassle readjusting the press for the other guns, but I can live with it.

I've never shot any steel case ammo. The range I shoot at does not allow it.

It's the loaded chamber indicator on the top of the slide. It is touching the case of the bullet, and effects the way it ejects. I have the .40 cal 2.0 five inch barreled pistol, and have erratic ejections. My compact 2.0's don't have any trouble. Watch some you tube vids of the five inch 2.0 pistols...They all do it...I'm going to have mine milled off in the front so it doesn't toiuch the bullet casing - which also makes it no longer a loaded chamber indicator - which doesn't matter to me. I don't want or need that feature. I'm sure it will most likely void my warranty, and effect it's resale value, but I don't plan on selling it, and I'd just soon take my pistol to my gunsmith and pay if I encounter something I can't fix myself. My ejection isn't horrible, but I don't care, I want it to eject strong like every other .40 I've ever owned. It's the same in 9mm too. It's my only complaint on my five inch 2.0.

I called Smith and Wesson today regarding the ejection issue. The rep was very friendly, and stated it's the first call he had received regarding this. He urged me to let him send me a label so I could send it back to Smith and Wesson to take a look at it. I told him I would shoot it again this weekend, as I've only got about 350 rounds through it I think. I'm going to take pen and paper with, list how many times it happens out of how many rounds, and notate the ammo I'm using. I told the rep I had watched many you tube vids and seen everyones five inch pistol ejecting just like mine, and am certain it's the loaded chamber indicator causing it. As I said, the rep was very friendly and I was able to speak freely with him. I told him I have experienced sending in guns to manufacturers before, only to receive them back stating "It shot fine for us". The rep (Frank) understood and said they didn't work like other manufacturers and were happy to look at it and resolve the issue. So I'm gonna give it a whirl. I do however believe that they are going to tell me the pistol is in spec and nothing is wrong with the pistol. I think they could possibly insert a lighter spring into the loaded chamber indicater, and that might help. But at the end of the day, I believe I'm going to end up milling off the end of it. It's just the way the pistol is made. If I don't like it, I'm going to have to alter the pistol. But I believe I should exhaust this resource and effort first. I'll update as things progress.
