Took my new-to-me .45 to the range today and it's everything I hoped it would be. The Apex it came with gives nice clean break, the medium grip fits my hand just fine, and the tritium front sight is a big help.
I'll need some more trigger time with it to shoot it as well as my .45 PPQ, but the gun shows promise (even if I don't).
One small complaint: there's just enough gap between the end of the frame/mag well and the magazine to pinch the fleshy part of my pinkie finger. It's not OUTCH! painful, but noticeable and annoying. Had to curl the finger under the mag. Not sure how that's affecting my aim, I need more time with the gun.
Other than that, well worth the money and I now have another option for carry (in addition to my .45 Shield...which I'll have to shoot head-to-head with the M&P next trip to the range.)
