Up-Lula - did you know?
I never noticed this little button on the top of my Up-lula until this morning and that it will lock the thing closed. I was at the range and while loading, all of a sudden my up-lula wouldn't open back up. I couldn't figure it out until I took the second one out of the bag to finish and noticed that it has a lighter colored button and that the first one was pressed in. Is there a reason to lock it closed? hmmm

I always assumed it made it more compact for storage in a range bag. Locked it fits perfectly in a pocket next to the area I carry ammo in my range bag.

Same with me. I always lock it closed to save room in the range bag.

Same, lock it to make it smaller for storage. Think of it like a tongs in the kitchen, they usually can lock closed to save space when storing them.

I always lock mine.
I always close cabinet doors and drawers.
I always lock my car.
I always zip my fly. (OK sometimes I forget).
YMMV

I cut that little button off mine. Seems I would inadvertently lock it while loading magazines. The minor difference in the space required for storage is very little.

It was developed by the Israeli military and may be designed to close to be carried in a uniform pocket or pouch.

Is that an uplula in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me.

Up-Lula - don't leave home (for the range) without it!
I'm curious what colors you all have.
I first saw it on a hickok45 video.
He had a yellow one, which is what I got - easier to see when it's in my range bag!
For my .380, I got the black one since I didn't want pink.
But in hindsight, the black one is hard to see in my bag.
Edit: Maybe I should put some bright stickers on the little one!

My shooting buddies kept "borrowing" my black UpLula, so I bought a pink one. My wife stole it.

I talked to the gentleman that designed the loader at SHOT SHOW. I told him my wife uses it to load her magazines easily and she is very happy to have it.
He told me if he had made 1 women happy he could go the heaven !!

I too was baffled when my then-new Uplula locked up for no apparent reason. I was ready to break out the crowbar when I discovered that little button.
