Default Range report, 40S&W Shield

Finally got out to the range with my Shield today. I had a good time with it. It was reliable, accurate, and not hard to handle at all. It will get your attention though. I shot a 22 before shooting the 40 Shield, probably should have reversed that order.
The box says this is a 2016 pistol, and it was sold to me as used. The mags were still so stiff I couldn't load them to capacity. I only got 4 rounds in the 6rd mag, and 5 rounds in the 7rd mag. Do these take alot to loosen up, or could this have been a safe queen and I'm the 1st to shoot it much? I guess we will never know but I will load some rounds in them and let them sit awhile.
All in all, a great little pistol.
BTW, this is the model with factory tritium night sights. It's so cool to pull this out in the dark and see those glowing sights ready to take on whatever goes bump in the night. They are also very good as 3 dot sights in broad daylight.

Those sights MBN. Got any pics?

My 40 mags were never that tough, the last round was always hard on my Shield mags 9 or 40 when new. Keep them fully loaded overnight-- that should help.

My camera phone probably won't get a clear pic, but the M&P symbol is stamped on top of the rear sight. The box says it is SKU #10214, which on a search of web sites shows the same pistol I have.
I'm not sure what store originally sold it, but they marked it at full retail, $549, then added "everyday low price".
