Default Finally joined the shield club

Traded into a shield (1.0) today. Am pleased I did. Quickly cleaned it and was able to shoot 2mags as a functions check in my back yard. As I expected it ran without a hitch. Will get to the range hopefully in a week or two to run it through the paces more thoroughly.

Also have a G43 and a 9c. Have not made any decisions as to which I prefer, but think all can serve me well.

Can't go wrong with a Shield. I found it softer shooting than a G43. Let us know how it works for ya.

What did you trade for a Shield?

A shotgun I never use. Both of us were happy with the trade.

I think you will like your Shield, especially if you like variety. I like to change things up a bit occasionally, so I find that the Shield perfectly fits in between guns that are larger, and guns that are smaller than it.
I opted for 40, because there is a little more oomph in same size gun as the nine.
I have Smiths that are much prettier, but I don't carry them, due to environmental risk to prettier guns. There are so many options out there, but the 40 Shield rates as a very common sense concealable self defense arm.

I have Shields in several calibers. You'll enjoy the range visit.
