Default .40 M&P L Recoil Spring Weight

I am wondering if a 13 pound recoil spring would be too light for use when shooting minimum (starting) loads with this pistol? The stock weight recoil spring closes the action so violently that I have difficulty realigning the sights for follow up shots.

Thank you for your time.

The spring weight range for reduced power is 11-15lbs. At 13 lbs. you are in the middle. Should be okay.

I've never heard anyone say this before. I suspect you have more of an issue with your grip than the recoil spring.
