Default Bodyguard mag release

I was wondering if the newer bodyguard 380s are coming with a metal mag release now? Mine is older probably about 2 or 3 years old and it has the plastic release. I had heard that SW started using metal ones to avoid the problems many have had in the past. If so I was wonder if the factory can swap mine out for piece of mind. I know that Galloway makes an aluminum upgrade version, but I donít want the extended type that they sell. Just the standard length if possible.

the newer ones are metal. you might call Smith to see if they will sell them to you and if not what they would charge to install one.
