I was digging into the deep, dark recesses of the safe and found a gun I'd almost forgot I had, a PP clone: FEG-manufactured "Hege Waffen AP 66" .32acp.
I never shot it much but it is a well-made copy of the PP. And I thought, "Gee, another small pistol for pocket carry." Took it out, did some dry firing (3lb SA trigger) and went for a pocket holster.
Had one that I use for my 9mm Shield. And then compared the two...the Shield is smaller! About 3/4 inch in overall length, same height, and about as thin. And the Shield is 9mm. So why even consider carrying .32acp?
So the PP will continue as part of my "collection" of German Police pistols, an occasional range toy, and a semi-permanent resident in the rear of the safe. (Now, if I could only afford a HK P7, Broomhandle, or Sig 210...…)
