Yep. Makes me really happy that I took advantage of the previous rebate offer, that's when I got my Shield and I think it was $258 after the old $75 rebate, I still can't believe I got that deal.

Their L frame stainless revolvers have become so expensive it's crazy; I think I paid over $700 for my 686 Plus Stainless Combat Magnum, I really think they could do a little better than $30 off, but hey at least it's something.

Don't know if you have one in your area, but Academy Sports has a 10% veterans discount through at least the 4th.

If you're thinking about buying, today is your last chance for Summer rebate. Grab-a-Gun has some great deals.

I broke down today and ordered the M&P Compact 2.0 with manual safety from grabagun for $343 after rebate. $8 shipping and no credit card fees made it too good a deal to pass up. My local shop has an M&P Compact 1.0 with safety (which I like) used for $249, but it just felt clunky to me.

As for the L frames being stupid expensive, they are. Even new K frames are. Only good buy on a S&W revolvers are 642’s and 442’s.

I'm pretty sure that S&W still offers a Vets discount, separate from the other. Sportsmansoutdoorsuperstore has a heck of a deal on a shield right now.
