Maglulu for Shield 2.0 9mm
Sorry I know Maglula’s have been discussed to death but for a new gun owner the info online is confusing. The Maglula site says the Uplula does not work for the 7 round Shield 9mm magazine. I also read Amazon sells counterfiet Uplulas. So what good quality speed loader will work for my Shield 2.0 9mm?

Uplula works perfectly and their site confirms this.

I load every semi I own with the uplula, from 9s to 45s. Haven't had a problem with my shield 9mm, you should be fine.

I use the same Uplula for my Shield 9 as well as my Full Size 9.
Yes due to the narrow width on the single stack mags the loader does not fit “tight” but just hold on to it and no problems.

That it does not do what it has been doing for several years and thousands of rounds loaded comes as a surprise to me.
Yes, as mentioned above, you sometimes have to be calm lest you slam into the feed lips, and on some mags there isn't room for the loader tongue and that last round, but it has worked great for the Shield 9.

Yes, there ARE counterfeit UpLulas out there, but the UpLula WILL work on the Shield. I've been using it all my pistols for 8yrs and on my Shield for 6yrs.
If the company you're buying from (via Amazon, eBay, etc) is shipping from China, let that be a major Red Flag.

Where are they saying it won't work with the Shield mags?

I use my UpLula on all my mags too. I have the .45acp adapter that clips into the bottom, stored on the little ring for all my single stack mags, like the shield. The double stack M&P full size is used without the adapter. Best money I ever spent on an accessory

S&W 7rd 9mm SS mags. (Beak too wide, does not enter between lips).

Note: it does not specify Shield.

S&W makes a lot of guns, but isn't the Shield the only 9mm they make with 7 round capacity mags? At least from my perspective, the Shield is implied.

I bought one of the counterfeit loaders and side by side with the Uplula they're identical. Quality is just as good also.
Here's a genuine Uplula for a few bucks less than most stores.

Just for reference as I see a number of folks have said it does work...
it explicitly states on the Maglula site that it DOES work on the Shield and also states explicitly which model S&W firearms' mags it won't work on...

S&W 7rd 9mm SS for models 908,3913,3913,3953 & 3954 (Beak too wide, does not enter between lips). It will load the S&W Shield magazine !

Interesting. They obviously need to update their site. There are conflicting pages. On the page previously linked it says:

Works fine with any single or double stack from 9mm to 45cal. Just make sure you get one that is made in Israel.

I use it on both my Shields, 9mm and 40 S&w. No problems with either.

Just curious if you are manually loading the first round before using the Uplula for the rest or using it right from empty?
Thanks

It doesn't? I wish I had known that before I used it to load my 7 and 8 round Shield 2.0 9mm magazines. I guess I have to unload them and find another way to load them?
J/K...I actually didn't know they weren't supposed to work...but, they do. In fact, I haven't found any handguns yet they won't work with. Well, except revolvers. Not too much good there...

I load both 7 and 8 round shield magazines with one. As others have said, 'I did not know it was not supposed to work'
