2.0 Compact 9mm Lanyard notch - no like
Howdy....Got my 2.0 Compact 9mm today. Overall, I like it. It seems like it will be a competitive performer to my Gen 4 G19.
Trigger is not bad. I can feel the firing pin safety. I did order a duty Apex kit and Frank Proctor sights.
What I dont like is the lanyard cut in the grip retainer pin/punch. It digs into my palm and will be a source of irritation.
Can anyone tell me if they make one without the lanyard notch?
I would prefer solid. I could also fill that area with RTV or similar if they don't make one.
thanks

Can't help you with the lanyard notch but you'll love that Apex duty trigger. I installed the kit in my 2.0 compact last night along with new sights. Took off from work early and took the 2.0 and my Gen 4 19 out for a comparison test.
Mods on the 2.0 are Trijicon HD XR's and Apex Duty/Carry kit. G19 also has Trijicon HD's and polished trigger internals and a minus connector.
I was more accurate and able to shoot the 2.0 faster than the Glock thanks to the short reset on the Apex trigger. The 2.0 is so much more ergonomic which also helps. I'm probably not going to shoot my Glocks as much now. S&W did a great job with the 2.0.

Cool
The 2.0 is sinks into my grip with enough opening for my support hand using the ML backstrap. The large felt too round or odd.
I have large hands and there is usually not enough room for my support hand to add friction to the actual grip.
It points good and looking forward to shooting it.

Little bit of Bondo & some sandpaper, you're in business.

That lanyard loop/notch bothers me so much that I didn't even notice it was there until I read your post! Seriously, I hadn't even noticed it, and after reading your post, I checked mine and sure enough, there it was. So, I guess it doesn't bother me.

Perhaps the 1.0 frame tool will work. No lanyard hole.

are all tools equal?
I wonder if I need to order a 1.0 Compact or Full Size.
I will answer my own question....I have a 9c.....the tool pin is too short and double the OD size.

Don’t know for sure. I have a 1.0 full size and the 2.0 grips and tool fit fine. I also have a 1.0 9C and can see the tool is shorter than the full size. I’ll post some pics showing the diferent frame tools. Perhaps you can post yours.

Let's see how this works out.
To start, yes I know the OP has a 2.0 Compact so the pics posted here may not actually help. My apologies in advance.
Next the subject firearm is a 2013 date code Full size M&P 1.0. It does currently wear a ported PC Core slide kit, which is where the CORE grips came from. I recently purchased 2.0 grips and frame tools from S&W when they ran the sale a short while ago.
Here are a few pics:

Probably leave it as is for a while. It matches my hair.
I have some Aervoe flat black somewhere. A lot of stuff still in boxes. When I find it, I will touch up that gray.

Cajun Lawyer may I ask why you use a lanyard. I thought that was a British WWII thing.
