Default Fantastic Customer Service

I have a few months old M&P9 2.0 FDE 5" barreled model. Really like the gun.

Called customer service to see if I could get a FDE magazine baseplate. Gun came with two mags, got another recently but it came with a black baseplate, no big deal but not preferable cosmetics wise.

So, since I will ask "Santa" aka my wife, for more mags as a Christmas gift, I asked CS to send me 4 FDE baseplates. He processed the order, $2 ea for the baseplates which I thought was very reasonable and then said he made a mistake, he should have charged me for shipping but hit the key for free shipping. Said my mistake your gain, free shipping.

Went to the range yesterday and couldn't hit squat with the gun and it is accurate. Found out that the rear sight was loose in the dovetail groove. Moved it by hand and all returned to normal. I had noticed that the set screw wasn't taking up tension but the sight wasn't moving at that time.

Mentioned that and said he thought it was a stripped thread on the set screw which seemed likely. Said he'd send me a new one for FREE! Christmas in Aug. Short of sending me $ for being a customer (absurd for sure) how can one ask for a better experience? Don

As a stockholder of AOBC I am appalled. But I like free stuff too so okay.

They have sent me stuff with free shipping too; overnight in fact, and I didn't expect that. Gotta love it when a company takes care of its customers.

I love reading customer service stories like these. Glad it worked out for you! Yet another reason why every handgun I own, other than my 1911’s, are all Smith and Wesson. Guess I need to not buy stock anytime soon though.....shoot straight!

Default In too many places....

..."Customer Service" is an oxymoron. It does feel good to hear a happy story. They've never done me any favors, but every transaction I've had has been quick and proper, which is all I really ask.

Nothing but good experiences here. I called once to get grip screws for a 39-2 but for nickle and not blue. Expected to pay but they said, "No problem, on the way no charge." Free stuff on a 40 year old gun? Can it get better?

Have to give a nod to Ruger as well. Lost a rail screw for a 22/45 and even said I was careless but could they please sell me another? Again, no charge on the way. God Bless American Gun companies!
